NextGen Navigators to come to Evans River

NextGen Navigators Launching at Evans River School!

We’re thrilled to announce that our NextGen Navigators program which is designed to help our youth build their disaster resilience skills will soon kick off at Evans River School, from October to December. This follows our successful pilot delivered at Mullumbimby High School in July. This time, the program will be offered during school hours as an alternative to Wednesday afternoon sports. Students will engage in bite-sized, 2-hour sessions over six weeks, covering essential topics like disaster resilience and psychological first aid. Additionally, there will be full-day sessions on bushcraft and practical first aid skills.

We’re inspired by the enthusiasm at Evans River School and excited to deliver the program in this new format. A special thank you to Meredith Tasker, the school's Student Support Officer (SSO), for recognising the value this program brings to the community. We can’t wait to get started!
