We’re rolling out free community resilience workshops in our region!
Resilient Byron and OzGREEN proudly present “Resilient Communities”, a new and FREE program to strengthen our communities’ resilience, regeneration and disaster preparedness by fostering community-driven solutions.
“Resilient Communities” is a series of 7 free workshops that allow communities to generate their own solutions to local and global concerns, focusing on seven key areas, which include climate change, fire, water, food, infrastructures, and health resilience. They shed light on the risks and opportunities related to different aspects of our resilience and explore concrete actions we can take at our level to make sure we're heading in the right direction.
“Resilient Communities” has been selected as a finalist to this year’s Resilient Australia Awards!!!
Workshops are being offered until December in different locations of the Byron Shire as well as Uki and Lismore (in partnership with Resilient Lismore/Helping Hands Lismore) and online.
These workshops are open to anyone but please register beforehand. The topics, dates, locations and registration details of the different workshops are regularly updated on the following booking link: https://events.humanitix.com/resilient-communities.
Resilient Communities is made possible thanks to funding by the Northern Rivers Community Foundation.
