Disaster Ready with Country Culture Camp
Disaster Ready with Country Culture Camp
In times of crisis, we have a choice: do we prepare as survivalists, focused only on ourselves? Or do we embrace a relationist ethos, recognising that true resilience is built through relationships; caring for each other, the land, and our communities?
Plan C and The Returning have partnered to offer two five-day Culture Camps, where disaster resilience is grounded in connection, shared knowledge, and Indigenous ways of being and doing.
Learn disaster preparedness in an intergenerational space deeply connected to Country, culture, and community.
Gain emotional, social, and practical skills to manage crises—whether supported by emergency services or not.
Engage in two-way learning, where Indigenous and non-Indigenous knowledge come together to strengthen community resilience.
At Plan C, we believe that
"I can only be safe if my neighbour is safe,
and they can only be safe if their neighbour is safe."
This is not just a philosophy, it’s a necessity in a world where floods, fires, and extreme weather events are becoming more frequent and severe. Our Plan is the Community.
These camps will be running in August and October, but if you'd like to be super organised, you can already get your ticket.
