Join the Community Carers and Responders network (CCR)!
Over this year, we’re bringing our CCR (Community Carers and Responders) network to towns and villages all across the Northern Rivers of NSW, and we’re kicking things off with training opportunities in the wonderful communities of Evans Head and Ballina. Check out the details below!
Huge thanks to Healthy North Coast for helping make this happen. After Cyclone Alfred, there’s been a real surge in interest around building local skills—not just for emergencies, but for connection and care in everyday life too.
Want us to come to your neck of the woods?
We’d love that!
Get your neighbours, family, friends, or community group together, and we’ll bring the training to you. Just email our CCR facilitator and coordinator, Renee, at renee@planc.org.au to get started.
As one of our CCR participant in Queensland fed back to us last year, "I've been volunteering with the SES and RFS for years but I've never learnt as much as during the CCR training!" In fact, she loved it so much, that after completing her 5 days of training, she enrolled to attend the same 5 days training all over again (true story!).
Anyway, here are the details for Evans Head:
And here are the details for Ballina:
