Mary River Catchment CCR

We have started a new project that aims to establish a Community Carers and Responders (CCR) Network in the Mary River catchment, in Queensland, more specifically in the Gympie Regional Council local government area, Maryborough (statistical area 3) and Noosa Regional Council local government area. As you dear followers of Plan C would already know, the CCR Network aims to increase the preparedness, response, recovery of participating communities, and in doing so enhance their mental health, social capital, and disaster resilience.

To achieve this, we welcome on board Nicole Harper, our CCR Project Manager.

Nicole has almost a decade of experience working in local government in community and economic development roles and has twenty years experience working with regional communities to build resilience, connection and sustainability. Her qualifications include degrees in Community Development and Sustainable Development. She is currently Festival Director of Heart of Gold International Short Film Festival and is Co-Founder and Director of Loose Knit Productions, a not-for-profit enterprise that funds, develops, and produces projects and events that support arts, culture and environment.

We are so happy she's joined our team and love working with her!
